A car USB input, such as the iPod USB and MP3 USB, has been a hot topic among the car owners. Very luckily, the OEM car audio for some Volkswagen cars supports similar functions, either by a front SD card slot or by a USB input on the back of the car radio. These Volkswagen USB input applications avoid an embarrassing situation that car owners have to buy an aftermarket car stereo just because that the OEM car audio does not provide a USB AUX Interface.

Not all factory-installed head unit allows the car USB input. Some Volkswagen car owners do not even know that their OEM car stereos can support the MP3 USB input. Most Volkswagen USB interfaces are not as apparent as a front USB input. It may be built as a car USB input at the back of the car radio. You need to check the harness connectors at the back to know more information.
