New standards for C-NCAP Urge Reforms for Car Audio

New provisions of the new China-New Car Assessment Program (C-NCAP) management rules were announced by the C-NCAP Management Center. These new standards have been studied and revised repeatedly, and will finally go into practice in July if the initial plan remained unchanged.
The new standards will bring reforms to the car industry, as well as the industries for car accessories, such as car audio, car stereo, car radio and auto radio. Under the new standards, stricter safety level is required in the new car tests.
According to the C-NCAP management center, the revisions on C-NCAP have been continuously reported by the media for months. The latest version shows that great reforms are made for the new rules, and these new rules will guide manufacturers of car and car accessories, such as car audio, car stereo, car radio and auto radio, to meet higher standards of safety.
“The car audio industry already faces pressure from the new rules,” Joseph said, a senior officer of the Car Audio Group at http://www.caraudiogroup.com. “We already expect fierce competition on the safety reforms for the car audio, car stereo, car radio and auto radio. What we can do is to let our research center to develop new designs.”
According to Joseph, the new standards include several different types of tests on a new automobile. Car Accessories like car audio, car stereo, car radio and auto radio will also be part of the testing object, as they are installed in the car.
"Innovation on safety will be absolutely made on car audio, car stereo, car radio and auto radio," Joseph said. "Car audio manufactures will compete fiercely in this safety sector."
Reports from the China Automotive Technology and Research Center show that the latest provisions of C-NCAP have big revisions to rating standards, speed requirements and programs. These new rules will urge manufacturers of automobile related industries to build competitive edges through comprehensive reforms.
Joseph pointed out that safety test for rear seat passengers would be introduced under the new rules. “It will require installing equipments like car audio, car stereo, car radio and auto radio will not harm the rear seat passengers during the new tests,” Joseph said.
“We believe people will increase their safety awareness on automobiles, as well as car accessories,” Joseph said. “We also hope that manufacturers of car audio, car stereo, car radio and auto radio will abide by the new rules and contribute to a safe driving experience for car owners.”
